About Message From Our Proprietor
For over twenty years, I have taught and guided children, thousands of them, and one truth has never changed. Every child arrives with something already inside them, waiting for room to grow.
That belief is why I founded Brainy Explorers Montessori in Bortianor, blending the Montessori approach with the Cambridge Early Years Foundation, GES and IB elements, so our children grow strong in literacy and numeracy, and in curiosity and kindness too. We keep our classes small on purpose, so every child is known by name and by what makes them light up.
Our motto, Unleashing The Gift, says it best. Every child already carries something remarkable. Our work is simply to give it room to shine.

Brainy Explorers Montessori is a warm, family-centred school in Bortiano, Accra, where children discover the world at their own pace. We follow the Montessori approach: children choose purposeful work from open shelves, use their hands, and learn by doing rather than by being talked at, inside a prepared classroom where everything is within reach and every material has a job to do.
Our curriculum blends the Cambridge Early Years Foundation with GES and IB elements, so children build strong literacy and numeracy alongside curiosity, independence and kindness. Classes stay small enough that every teacher knows each child’s name, temperament and what makes them light up. Our motto says it in three words — Unleashing The Gift. Every child arrives with something already in them, and our work is to give it room to grow.
Founded in the 2022/2023 school year by Madam Veronica Mensah, Brainy Explorers has been serving families across Accra ever since, one child at a time.

What Children Do At Brainy Explorers Daily
Every day balances freedom with gentle structure: time to choose, time to concentrate, time to move, and time to be together.
Interactive Learning & Play
Children choose their own work from open shelves — pouring, sorting, building, matching — and play together in ways that quietly teach turn-taking, patience and problem-solving.
Early Literacy & Numeracy
Sandpaper letters, movable alphabets, bead chains and counting rods let children feel letters and numbers long before they write them, so reading and maths grow out of curiosity rather than drill.
Social & Emotional Development
Older children guide younger ones. Along the way children learn to name feelings, wait their turn, settle small disagreements and ask for help — the skills that make school feel safe.
Physical & Motor Skills Activities
Outdoor play, climbing, sand and water, plus practical-life work like buttoning, sweeping and carrying trays, build the strength and coordination that later support handwriting and independence.
